Could not stop playing, so addicting. The end is amazing!

Sure, it does shoot things and you can walk upside down, but compared to other games of the same concept it doesnt stack up. The dialog alone makes me want to throw my headphones across the room. Running around aimlessly in some stupid spaceship with no supported direction gets boring real fast. If I had bought this at a store, Id have taken it back.

If youre looking for a GREAT first-person shooter/adventure for your Mac, PREY and BIOSHOCK are the games to get (and Modern Warfare, if you want a military shooter). You may be tempted to go for Doom 3. Dont. Good for its time, it just doesnt compare to this generations console games. Acessible to new gamers and challenging for those of us whove probably spent more time than we should blasting through campaigns like this, Prey combines epic storytelling with great game mechanics. The hunted becomes the hunter. The control scheme is very simple, so you dont find yourself wishing for a console gamepad, -- though I recommend getting a gaming mouse. Have fun.

Quite amazing graphics considering the release date, in-depth storyline and cool guns and semi-challenging puzzles, tommys humor provides comic relief to the fairly gruesome and scary environment. Some lag issues that skewered my aim and got me killed on more than one occasion, and thats the only reason I withheld a star from this review. A very good game for 10 bucks.

I know its a fairly old game, thats why they get 3 stars and why its worth buying only at $5. I do have a fw problems. there is way too much swearing. I want to listen to the music, but not the voice, nor see the text. I know I can turn these off, but I dont want to support people who are putting this in games so much.as for a gameplay rating, Id give a 4 stars. for content, also 4. music, 4, sound, only 3. graphics, since its a port dont really count, but a 3.5 anyway. it would be 4, but the characters are too stiff. overall, to the average gamer, swearing is not a problem, which would make this game probably worth $5, maybe normal 10. give it some thought before buying.

I bought the game and try to start it but it the icon just sits in the dock? if any one can help please do. I have a 2009 macbook pro with latest version of lion 4gb of ram

Awesome alien environment, great story, good music. I would have liked more things to shoot. Im giving it a 4 only because the puzzles within the game can be very frustrating, and without some hints from the walkthrough, I might have given up.

runs very nicely on an 13in MBA. Extremely reasonable price … well worth it. Right now there is nothing else close to it.

I underestimated Prey but for $3, its a steal. I have a stock MacBook Pro 15" late 2011 MD318LL/A with the 512 MB 6750M and it runs very decently maxed out minus AA on a 1920x1080 panel. I dont even know how the 1440x900 internal display runs but I would assume dramatically better. The game looks great and is humorous. Graphic visuals and language so I wouldnt let my kids play this until theyre in middle school.

When 2K Games and 3D Realms were noted in the introduction credits, I immediately thought of Duke Nukem Forever. But while DNF was choppy and slow, this plays at a good, steady pace. While DNF had simple weapons, this has more advanced weapons. While DNF had a theme of taking revenge against aliens, this... has revenge against aliens, but also with Cherokee (and maybe some other Native American) concepts and abilities. While DNF ignored new ideas like sphere-walking and portals, this has both of them.

I got it on sale for only $3. Best $3 game ever! It plays a little bit like half life two, but with better/different guns.

Now i can~! super affordable~ this game is so hipster it had protals and native americans before Assassins creed 3 and protal.

When i started playing this game, the only thing wrong with it was that the sound was not working. now when i get to one part in the game it just shuts down. this needs to be fixed.

This game is pretty awesome. I love the way the levels are designed with the trippy, floor/ceiling swip-swapping and the use of portals. The storyline is also very engaging, interesting, and eery. I was astonished that this game, although not a new game, was on sale for only $2.99! Anyone who is looking for an awesome, cheap, and engaging FPS for their Mac should definitely pick up this game, especially while it is so cheap!!

This game was exactly what i wanted. Imagine a game that combines house of 1000 corpses, with portal, a bunch of sic-fi games and a bit of native american flair. I sat down and played this game with the lights out and the sound up. Solid recommendation from me. Enjoy

Looks good, runs well on Mcbk Air, cheap. I have been playing this for 30 minutes. I have been stuck in a room for 15 of those minutes. 10 of the 30 minutes was wasted on a really cheesy video that you cannot skip. I am uninstalling this. I made a mistake when I bought this.

Audio glitches on startup, then it crashes about a minute later. Tried rebooting, still doing it. Full screen, windowed, doesnt matter. Being that it hasnt been updated in ages Im going to assume its a Mountain Lion compatibility issue, but who knows, could be a variety of things. All I know is that until its fixed, or I get a refund, this is a one-star.

IF you remember Art Bell, the host of the Coast to Coast radio show in the early and late 90s than this game should be an instant grab. The game storyline is shyly inspired by some of his callers from the Texas (Garland, and Dallas) areas. IF you are a gamer who enjoys shooter games, you should definitely purchase this game. 5 stars and I rate this game a 10 out of 10.
